Inclusion and integration

Our educational offers champion equal chances of social access and participation for all.

As a compensating principle for disadvantages of all kinds, we understand inclusion to mean considering and appreciating human beings in their various ways of life and appearances, and to recognise diversity and cultural pluralism as normal.

Whenever possible, we choose our venues to ensure that people with disabilities can attend our educational programmes.

Since our foundation, we have stayed true to committing our work in particular to young people who – for different reasons – have ‘fewer opportunities’, for instance young refugees, young people with a migrant background or young people in occupational integration projects.

Our non-formal educational offers are aimed at facilitating new learning experiences by putting the focus on their resources, skills and abilities.

In addition to our seminars with a ‘short-term pedagogic orientation’, we have been acting as the responsible project operator for international long-term measures lasting six months and facilitated by a cooperative network of job centres, businesses and labour management agencies. The long-termprojects, funded bythe Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Social Fund (ESF),use guided learning and working stays in France to offer young people affected by unemployment new opportunities and access to work, vocational training and further education.
